Success Story of Mary Ogaw Nyawal

Mary Ogaw Nyawal 28year single mother of 4 children living with disability run to Kodok during war of 2013, her elder daughter is the one taking care of family they are have a small garden for vegetable which able them to get money from, her daughter takes the vegetable to market for sale and leave same for home consumption as fear as protection issues are concern, she was selected as for protection training by the Community leader and the RRC with NRDC.

Through this training she was able to Engaged herself with the other women and express “Praise be to God and may the lord bless the ideas behind this thought of getting us engaged and involved, especially the physically disabled in playing greater roles of a wearing our communities; fellow women and girls on SEA and GBV issues in the community and above all, the training made us come up with our own plans which is amazing! I guess, the donors will think of us again especially the physically impaired on some mobility other that the one I am on now because during the rainy season, it is too muddy and I can’t afford to push”, Mary Ogaw Nyawel explaining the benefits of their involvement reflecting on the plan that they made for the women protection group in Kodok, Upper Nile State.
