Smallholder farmers support

Food shortages, the economic crisis, insecurity, and climate-related shocks have led to unprecedented levels of hunger and malnutrition across the country. Since the outbreak of conflict in 2013, livelihoods and agricultural production have been significantly disrupted, forcing millions of people from their homes in search of food. In order to realize this goal, South Sudan must prioritize infrastructure improvements in targeted areas with high agricultural potential. Having more paved roads would ensure that farmers are able to make full use of their yields.

This will be achieved through the following strategy initiatives

  • Training the farmers
  • Distribution of corps seeds and vegetable seeds
